A friend of mine was wearing a kaffiyeh as a scarf and heard someone yell out Taliban. My first instant was to think this guy was uneducated. But when I saw a news article about how Rachal Ray's kaffiyeh scarf ignited a controversial issue, i decided to do a little reach about this. If you may know, you will see this scarf all along Haight street but coming from this "haight street liberal hippy vibe", this shit needs to be taking off all shelves. If you do a little research and educated yourself on this topic, you will find out that Urban Outfitters has pulled this merchandise off the shelf due to Pro-Palestinian Activism. So, if you wear a Kaffiyeh in any way, know what it really stands for before you match it with your cute lil shirt!
