Whoa, it's been a long time coming!

The last time I blogged was before summer, which was soo long ago. To recap on my life in the big apple, summer was a blast, One can always find something to do in the nice humid weather.

I wanted to vent about the last guy I dated and vent about the NYC date scene. People date around like it's nothing. Since I moved here, I've dated 4 different guys. When I say date... it does not necessary mean sleep with. But two out of the four, I really really liked. In NY, Everyone knows that any young guy under 30 is no where close to settling down because there are plenty of hot women all around. With the last guy, I loved hanging out with him and we both made each other laugh no stop. A waitress once told us that we had amazing chemistry and I couldn't agree more. But there were a few things that I hated and I knew I didn't want to settle for any less. I wonder, in a city as populated as NY, what are the odds in finding the perfect guy? Who knows, I'm probably on the search for a certain perfection that doesn't exist.

Staten Island!!

Gonna be in Staten Island for easter this weekend with my roommate Salena. I'll let you know about all the hype wu-tang used to spit about.

Anyway... it's f'in late. I've had a hard time sleeping the past couple of days because it's warming up and living in an apt complex... oh, do you feel the heat.

Anyway, everyday I wonder where my future lie. I know I have picked up the NYC mentality...you have to be in the hussle and bustle to get ahead in life - The rat race as some might refer to. Friend or not, it's me first... you do what you gotta do.

But do I really believe in that??? I have def become a bitch to not get stepped on. It's hard at times when you have to put up a wall and be someone you aren't just to gain some respect. I guess it's all about life and growing up. I'm continplating if NYC is really for me.

Doing it right for Sunday Brunch at Via Dei Mille!

Fun times for Brunch at Via Dei Mille... yeah, this was at 3 PM on a Sunday. Oh and did i mention that Taye Diggs was sitting next to me the whole time... i wish i talked to him but actors are people too and I am pretty sure he just wanted to have fun rather than taking pictures/talking to random people about being an actor.

Theme for Miami... DVF SP09 look

I love planning for short trips - and when I say planning i mean getting my wardrobe together. The look for Miami is something along the Diane Von Furstenburg's spring 09' collection (Sept 08' fashion week).

I got a few hair pieces similar to the above at Wink - one of my favorite store in SoHo.
Georgina Snitkoff (above) is my favorite runway model at the moment. She is gorgeous on and off the runway. I love this jumper but could not pull it off because I am way too short.

Found an Italian designer brand sun hat at Century 21 for only $49.99

Found a blouse similar to this in black and gold at this cheap store on Broadway. I just need to find some nice trouser.
I found a dress similar to this in turquoise for half the price at Marciano.

Dat new new!

I live a few steps away from the Seaport - Pier 17. I am so damn glad to be a city girl again and not a Bridge and Tunnel anymore.

The Month of Jan.

I brought the new year in great. The month of January was amazing and probably the best month in NY so far because I love the snow. And I guess tickets from SF to NY were mad cheap because hella folks from SF were in town the month of January. I got to hang out with Lainey (my old roommate from Phelan Hall at USF) the first weekend of Jan. Then Stephanie (a friend's friend from high school) came the second week. Michele (7th Ave) came last week and Justyne (sorority sister/old roommate) came to visit this weekend. It was tiresome being the free tour guide but it's fun taking friends out to restaurants/bars you love going to.

As for my love life, I actually brought in the New Year with 2 boys.. but only one was able to hold my interest. That's all the info i'm going to disclose.

Anyway.. I'm going to start cleaning my room since i'm moving in less than 2 weeks.. can't wait for the big move AND 2009 FALL FASHION WEEK. I am currently working with Tse and Ports 1961.. look out for those brands!!

Ports 1961 schedule for Fashion Week at Bryant Parl

Tse will hold their show are another loaction in the city

The past, present, future...

9 months ago I was packing up my room in SF, trying to figure out what is to bring in one suitcase. In two weeks (from today), I will move into my new apt in the city (NYC that is). Everyday I wonder where the present is taking me and where my future will end up. I am 24 years old.. not quite young but not old. As for what is in store for me in NYC.. who knows... I might hate it and move back to SF... But as of right now, I see myself here - a city girl in NY!!

Brrrr.. it's cold!!

Friday was the coldest day in NYC. It was 5 degrees with wind chills making it feel as cold as -5 to -15. I am getting used to the cold weather but still miss Sunny California. I am looking for a ticket to visit SF for the end Feb... Can't wait!

So the news.. I met someone. He is so different from all the guys I have dated in the past, he is VERY VERY successful, fun, and sexy. We are a little different, style-wise but we just click... We can talk for HOURS and have a great time. I have doubts that our different lifestyle will eventually be a problem. It has only been 3 weeks.. if it doesn't work out, oh well... I am happy that I met him for the time being.. he is really good to me!!
